Based on the theme ‘the Divine essence is one only and exists in us all’, its promoter, the architect Cristina Rocha Leiria, has created an institution aspiring to be a point of convergence open to all cultures and beliefs (…). The integrative and multicultural nature of this initiative led me, right from the outset, to give it UNESCO’s backing. It is our organisation’s supreme mission to forge peace in the human spirit. The objectives proposed by the Kun Iam Ecumenical Centre are ones that are in complete accord with those of UNESCO.”
